#HealthyDMU looking after your wellbeing towards Christmas


The run up to the Christmas holidays can be an exciting and busy time. We have lots happening in the Breathing Space to help you take some time out and develop skills which will not only help you during this busy time but all  year round.

All of these sessions will take place in the Breathing Space which is situated at the rear entrance of the Portland Building.

 

#HealthyDMU Masterclasses:

3 December, 5 -7.30pm
Look after your mate

This class will help you develop the knowledge, confidence and skills you need to support your friends at university.

4 December, 12-1pm
Bouncing Back

Identify ways to bounce back from challenging situations and overcome obstacles and setbacks.

12 December, 12-1pm
Emotional tools for rainy days

Exploring ways to cope on a day-to-day basis and develop tools that will have a positive impact on your mental wellbeing.

Christmas mindfulness main

 

Every week:

DMU Thrive

A space where you can chat about a range of topics and issues that could be affecting you such as homesickness or managing stress.

Wednesday, 1-2pm

Mindfulness (Term Time)
30 minutes to slow down, relax and be in the moment.

Monday, 9 -10am

Wednesday, 10 -11am

Friday, 3 - 4pm

Join the tour! 4 December, 10 - 11am

The Breathing Space and Prayer Room are quiet and reflective areas to pray, connect with others and take part in group #HealthyDMU masterclasses.

 Imam Mohammed Laher will introduce you to the space and tell you more about the wide range of events for everyone that take place there.
