Give HIV the finger: a finger-prick test is all it takes

It's National HIV Testing Week and we’re partnering with Leicestershire Aids Support Service (LASS) to offer free HIV tests.

National HIV Testing Week highlights theimportance of HIV testing and promotes regular testing among the most-affected population groups. The aim is to reduce the rates of undiagnosed people and those diagnosed late – after the virus has begun to negatively affect their immune system.

If you'd like an HIV test, drop into the Breathing Space, at the back of the Portland Building, where a member of LASS will be there to greet you and do the test, no appointment necessary. Testing will be available between 10am-noon or 1-3pm from Monday 19 to Thursday 22 November, and 10am-noon on Friday 23 November.

Testing is quick, easy and confidential and people can rest assured that, if diagnosed with HIV, they can access free treatment and support.
