The Confucius Institute at DMU is a vibrant celebration of Chinese language and culture for all. It provides our students, staff and the wider community with a taste of Chinese life right here on the DMU campus.
Starting in January, the Confucius Institute is offering a FREE 10-week Mandarin course to DMU staff and students. The classes will cover 20 hours of teaching over the 10 weeks.
All you need to do is apply for a place in your preferred timeslot. Applications are open now and places are limited, so early booking is essential.
The evening classes begin in January and take place from 6-8pm. Different ability levels are available.
The daytime classes, which also begin in January, take place from 10am-noon. Different ability levels are available.
The deadline for applications is 9am on Monday 7 January 2019.
Undergraduate students who complete their Mandarin course will receive specific recognition on their
Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR).
