Postponed or cancelled events

All sports training, sports awards and tournaments, including BUCS and DMUactive sessions, have been cancelled.

DMU Local

DMU Local has decided to suspend any student volunteering activity until further notice. All schools, charities and local organisations have been advised of this decision and are not expecting students to turn up for volunteering activity.

DMU Global

All DMU Global trips for the remainder of the academic year have been cancelled. Students who have made a payment to DMU via the Online Store for a DMU Global opportunity will be refunded all of the money within 14 days. Anyone who received the DMU Global bursary will not be required to repay this.

The Festival of Teaching

The Festival of Teaching scheduled from 23 to 29 March 2020 has been postponed indefinitely. We intend to review the ongoing situation on a regular basis with a view to rescheduling individual events later in the year as part of our 150th anniversary celebrations.

Summer Graduations

We have also made the very difficult decision to postpone our summer graduation ceremonies to an as-yet undetermined date. We know this will be disappointing but we want to assure you that you will still have the opportunity to attend a ceremony to celebrate your success at some point in the future, once the global situation is clearer. We will aim to let you know your degree outcome as close to the normal time as possible. It is just the ceremonies that will be postponed.
