Corporate development and charitable partnerships

At DMU we’re ‘Proud to be More’, offering life-changing experiences to students, supporting local businesses and striving to promote altruistic causes on a global scale. We can’t do this alone, which is why we’re always looking to form positive relationships with corporate and charitable organisations.

Corporate Development:

What is Corporate Development?

The Corporate Development team at DMU looks to build mutual trust, investment and benefits with our corporate partners.

Key objectives

Our aim is to advance innovative collaborations whilst building and maintaining social capital which is reflected in our ground-breaking projects and partnerships with local & leading global organisations.

Partnerships Development

What is Partnerships Development?

Within the Development and Alumni Engagement department sits the Partnerships Development team who develop and manage relationships with trusts and foundations to support our capital and strategic projects and throughout the university.  A variety of trusts and foundations have supported DMU to enable the university to have a positive social impact on campus, Leicester, the UK and internationally. Gifts and donations from charitable trusts and foundations have allowed the university to conduct ground-breaking research, develop the physical environment on campus, provide scholarships and bursaries to students and drive the university to achieve the mission to become a truly 21st century global university, which incorporates DMU’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Key objectives:

The Partnerships Development team focus on engaging with funding bodies to leverage beneficial partnerships which can develop existing projects and those still in their inception. In addition, there is an intention to support projects by facilitating opportunities for students, staff and alumni to network and gain valuable experience through DMU’s academic-led and award-winning programmes, DMU Global and DMU Local.

The Partnerships Development team assist others in the advancement office with engagement through both events and the facilitation of volunteers via our clubs and networks who support our 180,000 alumni worldwide.
