Co-op donates festive gift bags to DMU students spending Christmas on campus

519 De Montfort University (DMU) students will be celebrating their Christmas on campus this year and thanks to the Co-op, they will have a gift bag of treats to help them make the most of a festive season away from home.

The Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE) team has partnered with the Co-op, along with Leicester City Football Club and Chartwells, to provide an assortment of presents for students remaining in on the DMU campus.

Paul Davis, DAE Development Manager, said: "We are proud to partner with such generous organisations and it's amazing to see the community coming together during these difficult times to help provide for those who will be spending Christmas away from their usual support networks.

"I want to thank the Co-op for their contributions, which will undoubtedly give some much needed festive cheer to our students.  We are looking forward to working with more organisations in the new year to help build back better from the impacts of Covid-19."
