Transitioning to block teaching and learning

Education 2030 is our commitment to creating a future-proof curriculum that is centred on the student experience. We have reframed our academic offer to best support students' teaching and learning opportunities, and the feedback we have received from our first cohort of students has been overwhelmingly positive. Of the students surveyed, 93 per cent enjoyed studying one module at a time.

This website provides a range of resources and materials to ensure that colleagues delivering this critical work will be supported. We will be updating regularly throughout the transition phase to block teaching with new training and support tools available so please check back regularly.

The Academic Development team continues to host face-to-face and virtual drop-in sessions to help staff deliver block teaching, which can be booked on DMU Hub. These sessions include session planning, assessment and feedback literacy in block, and Universal Design for Learning for block.
