Welcome to the Department of Politics, People and Place at De Montfort University (DMU). We deliver excellent teaching in a broad range of subject areas including:
- human resource management;
- politics and international relations;
- management - air transport management, management & the creative industries; project management; and
- public policy.
The Department has a long tradition of providing internationally acclaimed research and working closely with practitioners to produce societal impact.

Research
The research conducted in the department seeks to influence current thinking and address contemporary challenges faced by practitioners, policymakers and academics, ranging from the reform of local politics to democratisation of former communist countries.

People, Organisations and Work Institute (POWI)
These Centres provide a focal point for the research of colleagues within the department and beyond.
