Student Engagement and Student Disengagement:

Reasons, explanations and a way forward

DMU Annual Learning & Teaching Conference to be held on Wednesday 11 September 2019 at De Montfort University. 

This conference brings together our educators, researchers and practitioners to exchange and share practices and pedagogy on all issues concerning Student Engagement and Disengagement in Higher Education (HE).  It also provides a platform to present and disc​uss our most recent innovations, trends and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted to engage the disengaged.

There will be a Keynote Address from Dr Alex Buckley, Senior Learning Enhancement Adviser, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow:
"Why there is confusion about the concept of student engagement, and why that's a problem for practice as well as policy".

This conference will consist of workshops, presentations, debates and poster stands.  Please see further details below.

Please note: This conference is for DMU staff only and attendance is by booking through My Development, DMUhub.  We are currently fully subscribed however, staff are welcome to pre-book in case of any cancellations.
