FOOTBALL
It was an all #TeamDMU clash in BUCS Football Midlands Division 4B on Wednesday afternoon as the First team faced the Thirds.
The Third team were hoping to turn around their recent run of performances that had not seen them win a fixture since Wednesday 18 October.
It would be another disappointing afternoon for the side who fell to a damaging 7-0 defeat.
First Team Captain, Kameron Basi, said: “We put in a convincing performance against the Third team really showcasing our quality and it was a great example of how things are coming together under our coach Gurdeep.
“We were 2-0 up with half an hour to go and our fitness levels really showed in the final stages, adding a further five goals and running out 7-0 winners.
“The win sees us clinch top spot heading into the Christmas break and sets us up nicely for an exciting 2017.”
The Fourth Team were also victorious on Wednesday to take top spot in BUCS Football Midlands Division 5C.
They claimed a 3-1 win at home to Nottingham Trent University 5th to end their 2017 right.

The side dominated possession and had plenty of opportunities to win the game, but Staffordshire remain top of the table with a 1-0, with the only goal coming from the penalty spot.
