Our Industry Partners

We have worked with hundreds of companies, covering a massive spectrum of fields and specialisms.

Delivering business solutions for today...with the technologies of tomorrow

The 2012 Technology Showcase at De Montfort University, Leicester provided businesses and organisations with the opportunity to explore and experience a range of cutting edge technologies in computing, engineering, healthcare, media, science, sustainability and the creative fields.

Our showcase has been delivering expert information and partnership opportunities to businesses since 2004 and, to date, has been responsible for a number of successful collaborations.

Research in Technology goes hand-in-hand with business collaboration and many projects are undertaken either in direct partnership with industry, or with the aim of improving and adding to industrial technology and practice through consultancy and knowledge transfer.  Our annual showcase is an ideal opportunity for businesses and organisations to meet with our research experts and discuss and develop any ideas or projects.

Technology Showcase 2012

Our visitors this year experienced interactive technology through the latest gadgets and equipment on offer. This is what Maggie Philbin of ‘Tommorw’s World’ thought of her visit to the 2012 Technology Showcase,

‘I spent four fascinating hours looking round DMU's Technology Showcase. The quality of the exhibits was outstanding and made me long for Tomorrow's World to be back on screen so I could run stories about many of the projects there. I was fascinated by the range - from brilliantly clever ways to create electronic instruments-  to subtle eye tracking technology that enabled me to play 'World of Warcraft" just by moving my eyes - to global satellite imaging that gave detailed measurements  of the depth of lakes and rivers. It was a totally absorbing afternoon and one that offered real insight to where technology might take us in the next five years. I had to be dragged away. If you didn't get down there, you missed out big time. Make sure it's on your radar for next year.'
