Description

You are invited to attend a talk by Lee Hadlington, Associate Professor in Cyber Psychology.  During the talk Lee will explore the potential reasons why employees fail to adhere to accepted rules when it comes to organisation information security and cybersecurity, as well as present a potential mitigation strategy that could be used to help engage employees more in this.

Lee’s research covers a variety of broad areas including Cognition, Cyberpsychology and Cybercognition. Current areas of interests focus on (but are not limited to):

Insider Threat: Psychological/behavioural Indicators and Threat Detection

Cybercrime: the definition of Cybercrime: awareness and prevention

Cybercognition: cognition and the rise of digital technology

Impact of 'SMART' technology on human interaction: assessing user experience

Hazard perception and detection: inattentional blindness and change blindness
