Personal profile

Dr Ismini Vasileiou Associate Professor in Information Systems (FBCS, SFHEA) and Associate Head (Teaching and Learning) at the School of Computer Science and Informatics, De Montfort University, Leicester, UK, is the Apprenticeships Lead having extensive experience on developing, managing and leading employer led curriculum and the provision of Degree Apprenticeships. She has previously led teams on Information Systems as the Subject Group Lead, developing cutting edge curriculum giving attention to diverse teaching and assessment across the School and Institution. 

Dr. Vasileiou's research interests include Social Engineering, Security Education, Learning Analytics and Technology-supported Learning. Holding an EdD in Flexible Learning for Computing Degrees in Higher Education, Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Fellow of BCS, Dr Vasileiou is actively involved in academic delivery at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as the supervision of BSc, MSc and postgraduate research(PhD). Dr Vasileiou is publishing on topics including flexible learning, security education, and technology-supported delivery, and delivers a variety of invited presentations and keynote talks in relation to topics such as Digital Transformation in Higher Education, unconscious bias and stereotypes in STEM topics.
