Eleonora Asparuhova completed her undergraduate and postgraduate study at University of Salford, focusing on 2D, frame by frame traditional animation. She completed her MA under a fully funded AHRC scholarship in 2015 where the focus of her work explored the relationship between animation and literature and the way traditional folklore and narratives can be visually translated to appeal to broader and international audiences. In 2016, Eleonora won the award for 'Most Anticipated Game' at the Bulgarian Game Awards with her work on the concept art and visuals for the board game 'Among Thieves'. In 2017 she co-founded 'The Celtic Animation Film Festival' in Liverpool, UK - an animation festival celebrating Celtic and International cultural identity. Eleonora is currently a freelance animator, illustrator, festival director and lecturer in 2D animation.
