Personal profile

Andy Plaice lectures in practical journalism, having joined De Montfort University in 2006. He spent 18 years prior to that as a journalist and editor with Emap and Johnston Press.

He wrote the core practical modules for second and third year students and has recently developed a new module for arts & entertainment journalism, the latter of which links with Andy’s main area of interest within journalism. 

As a feature writer and reviewer he has written for a wide range of publications, magazines and websites including the Sunday Express, The Stage, the Daily Express,, Writing magazine, the British Theatre Guide, the British Comedy Guide and The Voice.
