Personal profile

Theo was awarded a BPharm (Hons) degree from Kwame Nkrumah University in Ghana after graduating with a first class in 1996. Following that, he gained his professional registration and developed a career in pharmacy practice, medical sales, and prescribing support.

In 2005, Theo registered as a practising pharmacist in the UK and developed a practice in community pharmacy as pharmacy manager and occasional locum in different supermarket, multiple and independent type pharmacies. As a clinical pharmacist, he works part-time helping patients to optimise medicines use and supporting their health improvement efforts.

In addition to his academic responsibilities, Theo is currently undertaking doctoral research to understand how electronic health records systems are used to support the delivery of pharmaceutical care in community pharmacies. The purpose is to explore better approaches by which such systems could be used to improve service efficiency and enhance patient safety and clinical effectiveness.
