Sarah began working in community pharmacy at Boots during her A-level studies and continued throughout her MPharm degree at De Montfort University (DMU). Graduating in 2005, she carried out her pre-registration year and remained a pharmacist with Boots. Once qualified, Sarah worked both as a relief and store-based pharmacist, gaining experience working in a variety of pharmacies including high street, edge of town, midnight pharmacies and local pharmacies. She offered a variety of private an NHS services and supported the training of pharmacy support staff and student placements.
Whilst completing her Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy at DMU, Sarah moved into the Superintendent Pharmacist's team where she provided professional support across the pharmacy and healthcare teams in Boots' support office. As part of this role, Sarah completed the Independent Prescribing qualification at DMU and went on to prescribe for the Boots online clinics. Much of the role was developing pharmacy services and Sarah provided the clinical and professional expertise in the development of a number of services, including writing Patient Group Directions and online consultations for new clinics.
Sarah joined the Leicester School of Pharmacy in 2019, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in community pharmacy.
