Dr Sergey Sosnovskikh joined Leicester Castle Business School as a Lecturer in Business and Management in September 2019. Before this, he worked as a Research Fellow and an Associate Lecturer at the University of Greenwich for four years teaching various undergraduate and postgraduate modules including international business, economics, research methods, social networks, innovation management, business ethics, and supervising Master's and MBA dissertations. Before joining the University of Greenwich, Sergey worked at the Ural Federal University in Russia as a course leader, where he designed and taught two undergraduate modules: International Trade Management and International Marketing.
In 2018, Sergey completed his PhD degree at the University of Greenwich (London, UK) investigating the development of Special Economic Zones and Industrial Parks in Russia. Along with the doctoral degree, he holds MSc degree in International Management from the University of Roehampton (London, UK), BSc degree in International Economics from the Ural Federal University (Ekaterinburg, Russia), and BA degree in Teaching Foreign Languages from the Ural State Pedagogical University (Ekaterinburg, Russia). He is also an Associate Fellow at the Higher Education Academy of the UK.
Sergey has very diverse experience working in leading companies of different industry sectors including banking, research, Higher Education, maritime transport, investor relations, construction, and public services. He conducted consultancy projects for the government and private companies both in the UK and Russia. Sergey is an active member of the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies: he regularly participates in the annual conferences and chairs the sessions as well as peer reviews publications of the journals.
