Personal profile

I am a lecturer and researcher since 2008. My research focuses on managing investment portfolios in emerging markets and testing the viability of Islamic finance and banking in a conventional economic system. I have carried out research-led teaching to incorporate the recent developments in academic literature in my lectures. This has benefited my students and provided them with the best possible learning experience. Alongside my academic career, I am a certified professional trainer since June 2013 and I served as an external speaker for several public events about i) youth empowerment, ii) accounting for non-accountants, and iii) directing various psychological games to assist the participants in understanding cognitive and psychological concepts from the field of behavioural finance.
