Personal profile

Polydoros Demetriades is a lecturer in Accounting and Finance. He joined De Montfort University as an undergraduate student in Accounting and Finance in 2013. His initial degree was a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance. Later, Polydoros graduated with an MSc in Accounting and Finance from De Montfort University. In 2021, he became an ACCA affiliate.

Polydoros has published in the Journal of Financial Crime. His research project examined Toshiba's fraudulent financial reporting in relation to the fraud diamond contributing to current accounting literature.

Prior to commencing his academic career, Polydoros worked as an assistant accountant in a multinational and multi-industry organisation.

In his free time, Polydoros enjoys playing music and he specialises in different musical styles, including Greek, Italian, rock and roll, and pop.
