Phil has lectured at a variety of universities over many years. He has lectured at all levels of accounting & finance education and has held posts such as Head of Division of Professional Studies (personally leading ACCA and CIMA programmes), Head of Division of Undergraduate Accounting & Finance programmes and modules and, at DMU he is currently the Chair of the Postgraduate Accounting & Finance Management Board.
At DMU Phil has previously held the post of Postgraduate Curriculum Development Manager and was Programme Leader for the full-time MBA provision and MSc Risk Management course for many years.
Phil has also undertaken a great deal of corporate training and consultancy and has been involved with commercial companies such as Ford, Aston Martin, Volvo, DHL, G4S, KFC, Merlin Entertainment Group; Public sector bodies such as the police and NHS and Charities, such as MNDA.
He has taught on a variety postgraduate business/management programmes in several countries, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, South Africa and Botswana. He has also worked extensively for private professional accounting training providers in Russia, Jamaica, Trinidad and Qatar.
Phil also has a good deal of experience in distance learning and blended leaning business education.
