Oliver Bennett, LL.B (Hons) (Durham) 1995, Solicitor, admitted 2000. Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Trained and practised in two large commercial firms in Newcastle and Leicester, specialising in Employment Law before joining De Montfort University. Currently works as an Employment Law Consultant on one day per week at a large East Midlands firm.
He teaches various Legal Skills, Employment and Business Law on the Legal Practice Course, Public Law on the Graduate Diploma in Law Course and supervises LLMs.
He is currently responsible for Professional Legal Education in the Law School, is a DMU Teacher Fellow, the Course Director for the Legal Practice Course (full and part-time), the BAL Faculty Provost and he Chairs University Validation Panels.
He has previously been an External Examiner at several institutions, the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s Chief External Assessor for Employment Law on the LPC, an Academic Practice Officer for the Law School and a Faculty Equality Reviewer.
