Laura joined Leicester De Montfort University Law School in October 2018. She teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Criminology and Research Methods. She is also the programme leader for LLB Law and Criminal Justice.
Laura’s research focuses on the response to serious and organised crimes, specifically on human trafficking and modern slavery crimes. She has also published in other criminal justice aspects such as eyewitness testimony and victimisation.
In addition to her research, Laura coordinates the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Modern Slavery Action Group; a modern slavery partnership aiming to respond to modern slavery crimes by joining research and practice. She is also working with different police forces in areas related to the investigation and disruption of serious and organised criminality and multi-agency collaboration.
