Personal profile

Felistas Musiniwa is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Business and Law. Teaching in higher education started in year 2013 as an Assistant Lecturer in Accounting and Finance. Managed to develop my skills, knowledge and abilities over the years under the mentorship of senior lecturers. In addition, the knowledge acquired from masters and professional studies in Accounting and Finance encourages my research informed teaching. Application of UK Professional Standards Framework in higher education is evidenced by the Fellowship accreditation from the Higher Education Academy (HEA). Joined DMU in year 2019 and been involved in the teaching of mainly taxation modules. Successfully supervised a number of dissertations and wish to undertake research in taxation and inclusive education. 

Research interests/expertise

In my discipline, I am interested in pursuing research on Taxation, Corruption and Developing countries; and also explore corporate social responsibility in respect to responsible tax and multi-national companies in Southern Africa. In the wake of recent developments, I have also found a new passion in pursuing a deeper understanding of a critical evaluation of pedagogy in inclusive education and race issues.
