Personal profile

Dr. Amal Ahmad Khair joined Leicester Castle Business School, DMU in April 2019 as a senior lecturer in Accounting and Finance of the Faculty of Business and Law, having previously taught at Hull University Business School from 2010 until 2019. She has more than ten years of experience in teaching and research in Accounting and Finance. She was previously an internal auditor at one of the biggest banks in Malaysia (i.e. Maybank) and also a lecturer at many public universities in Malaysia.

Before joining De Montfort University, she was a lecturer at Hull University Business School, University of Hull. Her PhD was from Essex University and entitled “Locating fraudulent accounting practices in Malaysia: Foucauldian perspective”. Her PhD research focuses on fraudulent practices among corporations and accountability structures in place within Malaysia context.
