Lee is a Product Design Consultant and Research Fellow within The Design Unit at DMU. Lee studied Product Design here at DMU and also internationally at the Hochschule für Gestaltung (HfG) Schwäbisch Gmünd in Germany. Upon graduation he won the prestigious Royal Society of Arts Student Design Awards, with past winners including famous British designers Jony Ive and Richard Howarth at Apple.
The Design Council named Lee in a list of "up and coming" British designers as 'Ones to Watch' for the future. Lee has been active in commercial product Design since graduation, prior to The Design Unit he worked at the international transport design firm PriestmanGoode in London, where he worked on projects for major airlines and locomotives. Clients included United airlines, Emirates and OBB Austrian Rail.
His current role as a key member of the Impacting Business by Design (IBbD) involves executing the £4.65m Research England project over the next 3 years. He has supported the Product Design course at DMU through lecturing, tutoring and promoting study abroad opportunities to students.
