Personal profile

I have a BA in history from the Open University, and MA in English Local History and PhD from the University of Leicester. I have recently published my first monograph Financing the Landed Estate: Power, Politics and People on the Marquis of Anglesey's Estate 1812-1854 and am currently working on a collaborative monograph In Their Own Write.

Research interests/expertise

My research interests include the agricultural history of the landed estate, the evolution of rural general practice and the voice of the poor within the New Poor Law
