The Grange

Located on campus, close to the city centre, The Grange is privately managed by Unite Students. 

Each flat consists of three, four, five or six bedrooms, with each bedroom having en suite facilities (with one exception).

Within each flat there is a shared kitchen featuring a breakfast bar and stools as well as a carpeted area with a sofa and curtains. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, fridge, freezer & microwave, each flat also has a vacuum cleaner, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket, iron and an ironing board and bin.

Up to 70Mb internet broadband connection is included in rent costs, while TV connection points are available in bedrooms and kitchens (a co-axial cable is required).

The hall features CCTV, a secure door entry system and 24 hour roaming security. Bicycle storage and coinless laundry facilities (£3.50 per wash, £1.70 per dry) are also available.

The Grange also features a student common area, including table football and free printing facilities, an outdoor courtyard with badminton & mini golf.

Limited car parking is available on a first come, first served basis. A 43-week parking space costs £645.

Contract lengths

A contract at The Grange lasts for 43 weeks and one day, running from Friday 20 September 2019 to Friday 17 July 2020. 

International students can start a week earlier (additional costs apply)

Basic non en suite room, £101 per week, inclusive of bills. Total: £4,357.44

Classic non en suite room, £104 per week, inclusive of bills. Total: £4,486.57

Basic en suite room, £128 per week, inclusive of bills. Total: £5,522.30

Classic en suite room, £134 per week, inclusive of bills. Total: £5,781.16

Premium en suite room, £140 per week, inclusive of bills. Total: £6,040.02

N.B. A guarantor is required. The guarantor can be either UK or international; they must be over the age of 21 and in full-time employment. Without a guarantor you will need to make payment for the full year’s rent when making the booking.

International students

Students with an international home address will need to pay in two equal instalments on 6 September 2019 and 15 January 2020

Additional rent considerations

The first instalment is due prior to arrival; you will not be able to use your student loan to make this payment, as you receive your student loan after you have enrolled on your course.

Payments can be made by debit card or credit card (there is a 2 per cent surcharge on credit card transactions) or by direct debit, bank transfers can be used for customers with no other ways of making payment.

The rent instalments should be made directly to Unite Group.
