Simon Capper BA (Hons)

Finance Director, Leicester City Football Club

Simon Capper joined the Board of Governors in October 2016. He is the Chair of the Finance and Human Resources Committee.

Simon is a Chartered Accountant and experienced board member with particular skills in achieving success in sporting organisations. He has over 25 years’ experience in financial roles, and during this time, has overseen the implementation of numerous successful strategic business plans.

Simon currently serves as the Finance Director at Leicester City Football Club (LCFC), and is an integral part of the management team, which has taken the club from a mid-table Championship team to the 2015/16 Premier League title winners.

Simon is also a trustee of the Football League Pension and Annuity Scheme and sits on its Risk Committee Fund, and is Director of LCFC Foxes Foundation, a charitable foundation which raises c£200k per year for local charities.

Simon was previously the Finance Director at Sheffield United Plc, and has worked internationally as a Managing Director at DCDM Consulting Ltd, Africa’s largest independent consulting and accounting firm, working from offices in Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania and Botswana.
