Make starting your own business easier and more successful with the CEO start-up sessions.

CEO start-up sessions provide you with the basic skills for establishing and running a successful business. We take you through the essential things you need to be aware of when developing your business idea. 

Topics include: how to set up; marketing, funding and developing a website.

Business Venture Competition

CEO’s Business Venture Competition is the perfect opportunity for any DMU student, staff member or graduate to turn their business idea into reality.

Don’t worry if you haven't created a business plan before; staff at CEO will support you every step of the way and help turn your idea into a real business proposition.

The competition is not just open to those who already have a fully developed idea. You might be looking for inspiration or further information to kick start your business.

It also doesn't matter what your idea is so whether you are looking to become a freelance photographer or have developed a new range of clothing, enter the competition and start turning your idea into a reality.

Fox's Lair

Fox's Lair is a Dragon's Den style competition that runs in spring each year. First year students form teams and present their business ideas to a panel of real entrepreneurs as part of their assessment.

Each business idea is assessed on a range of criteria including feasibility, delivery, creativity and business awareness.
