Study facilities
The environment in which you study can transform your performance. In recent years we have invested nearly £200 million in providing the very best facilities, from industry level equipment and studio spaces where you can apply your theoretical knowledge, to a first class library, learning zones, modern accommodation and a wide range of recreational amenities.
Providing a quality learning environment
DMU prides itself on providing its students with a high quality learning environment. Continuous investment in our buildings, such as the Hugh Aston Building and the newly refurbished Edith Murphy House, ensure our students are given the best possible advantage during their studies.
Industry standard facilities
Employers are looking for talented, capable people who can do the job. At DMU, we provide our students with labs, studios and workshops of the highest standard so that theoretical studies can be applied on equipment that is used in industry, meaning that you are equipped with the skills and experience to get your career off to a flying start.
A relaxed and supportive study environment
Our libraries are there to support you during your studies. You can access publications, conduct research, get support or find the perfect place to study at a time that suits you best. DMU is one of only a few universities to offer a dedicated law library, based in the Hugh Aston Building.
There are around 1,600 study spaces and 550 computer workstations for students to use for individual study or group-working.
