The Roaring Girl

by Thomas Middleton and Thomas Dekker

Based on the infamous life of Mary Frith, The Roaring Girl is a 17th century comedic play. It follows the troubles of Sebastian, son of Sir Alexander Wengrave, and his pursuit of Mary Fitzallard. Moll Cutpurse, our ‘Roaring Girl’, is not a typical 17th century woman. She brawls, drinks, and tricks people to get her way.
