Global Business Dissertation

Module code: LCBS 3002

Module description

A dissertation is an extended piece of writing based on extended reading and some independent research. The module provides an opportunity for students to undertake independent research in an area of specific global interest of their choosing. Ultimately the choice of global topic must be within the broad area of business, strategy and management.

Students will be allocated a supervisor in the first few weeks of the module commencing. They will also attend 3-5 lectures to assist in the development of their dissertation proposal, critically evaluating literature and determining the appropriate methodologies. Their supervisor will support them through the whole independent research process leading to the student producing a dissertation.

There are two assessments that are essential components. The first is a critical literature review around their chosen global topic and the second is the dissertation
