Libraries open 24/5
The main Kimberlin Library is open 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday during term time, so you can study when it suits you. The @ccess anywhere facility means you can use the library online 24 hours a day, no matter where you are. There is also a specialist Law Library, and a library at our Charles Frears Campus (dedicated to Nursing).

Learning Zones
The Learning Zones in the Kimberlin Library and Eric Wood Building provide space for group and individual work, have workstations with power supplies for laptops, plus syndicate rooms with interactive whiteboards, DVD and video facilities. Rehearse presentations or work in privacy, the choice is yours!

Just Ask
The ‘Just Ask’ service provides help and information via email and telephone. There is a dedicated librarian for each subject area and a Library Disability Team, for specialist help. Each library has enquiry points and expert staff run drop-in sessions, workshops and one-to-one sessions to help you learn how to use library and learning resources.

Dedicated support for you
In addition to support on your course, the Library provides advice, guidance and resources on many study skills including:

  • Approaches to academic writing
  • Literature searching and reference management
  • Strategies for managing research
  • Mathematical skills for non-maths students
  • IT skills to support your study.
