Innovation

Innovation and the Innovation Centre

De Montfort University’s Innovation Centre has been home to dozens of local small and medium sized businesses since it opened ten years ago.

Leased in a special agreement with Leicester City Council, the Centre has a total of 25 units, which local businesses rent from the University. The Innovation Centre demonstrates the University’s commitment to supporting small business growth and in particular, the importance of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship to its students, graduates and staff.

In addition to the benefits of having an excellent location from which to work, each company also has access to on-site expertise to help them develop and grow.

Innovation through Enterprise and Entrepreneurship are encouraged in the Innovation Centre, which aims to be a ‘business launch pad’ for all its stakeholders.
