Knowledge Exchange

The Knowledge Exchange (KE) team aims to develop partnerships between businesses and the university to increase research activities and develop collaborations. The members also formulate and influence the university’s strategies regarding the development of KE activities in the broadest sense.

Knowledge Exchange covers a wide range of funding activities including:

  • Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)
  • PiKT – Partnerships in Knowledge Transfer – funded by ERDF
  • KEP – Knowledge Exchange Project – Funded by the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF) and partner contributions

The team, headed by Joanna Bailey, focuses on expanding knowledge exchange activities across DMU and enhancing the university’s reputation within this arena internally and externally. In addition the knowledge exchange team offer the following support to individuals, faculties and institutes:

  • Expertise and support related to funding for knowledge exchange
  • Proposal writing support/advice
  • Marketing of products and services to partner organisations (e.g. companies)
  • Managing existing Knowledge Exchange Programmes within DMU
