Computing and Control for the Water Industry Conference 2015
2 - 4 September 2015, De Montfort University
Sharing the Best Practice in the Water Industry
The 13th Computing and Control for Water Industry (CCWI2015) conference is being organised by De Montfort University in collaboration with the University of Exeter and the University of Sheffield takes place in Leicester, UK from the 2nd - 4th September 2015. The CCWI conference series brings together researchers and water practitioners with an interest in current challenges and solutions for the water industry.
With rapid population growth, water withdrawals have tripled over the last 50 years and are predicted to increase by 50% by 2025 and may lead to an estimated 40% supply shortage. Water resources protection and improvements in their management are prime concerns for the water industry, which has to consider population increase and uncertainty of precipitation (extreme events such as drought and flood) due to climate change.
The topics of interest are broad, ranging from: water engineering solutions for smart, liveable and sustainable cities; modelling, optimisation and decision support for clean and wastewater systems; data management including GIS, SCADA and cyber security issues.
This unique event has objectives to bridge theoretical and applied research and share the best practice across the world water industry.
