Artificial Pancreas

This project is developing an artificial pancreas, which is an insulin dispensing device that responds to the body to deliver variable doses as an intelligent response to the blood glucose.

TVIS (Through Vial Impedance Spectroscopy) is an impedance based process analytical tool for the development of freeze-drying cycles.

Typical Applications include process measurements of critical events (freezing, ice formation), eutectic crystallization, and the glass transition, as well are providing a surrogate measurement of product temperature and primary drying rates from which the heat transfer coefficient of the vial and the product dry layer resistance may be determined.
