Urban Governance Transformations in the Context of Crisis
The Spanish Research Council funded project, led by the Autonomous University of Barcelona is exploring "Urban governance transformations in the context of crisis. The evolution and prospects of participatory governance in Spain and UK cities". The goal is to compare the evolution and prospects for urban participative governance in the context of austerity in Spain and in the UK, exploring both the city and neighbourhood levels.
The UK case studies are Leicester and Nottingham, the Spanish case studies are Barcelona, Lleida, Madrid and San Sebastian.
The project runs from January 2013 to December 2015.
