Network Governance: A Tool for Understanding Russian Policy Making?
The Norwegian Research Council project, led by the Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research, is exploring "Network Governance: A Tool for Understanding Russian Policy Making". In partnership with the Centre for Independent Social Research in St Petersburg, we are looking at how policies are made in Russia. To what extent does the familar Anglo-European notion, that governance is often organised through networks, travel to the semi-authoritarian context of Russia. We are exploring these questions in two Russian cities; St Petersburg and Samara and looking at three policy areas: migration, drugs/HIV and child welfare.
The project runs from January 2013 to December 2015.
