About the Graduate School

De Montfort University (DMU) is one of the leading research institutions and has been training PhD students for more than 60 years.

DMU is home to more than 50 specialist research groups and institutes, which are actively engaged in hundreds of projects. Read more about our research staff and the diverse research areas covered at DMU. 

The aim of the Graduate School is to support DMU’s postgraduate research students and staff. We offer efficient administrative assistance and a effective research training programme that encourages our research students to achieve their maximum research potential.

Prospective students can download a copy of our latest Research Degree prospectus or visit one of our open days to find out more about DMU and the research facilities on offer. There is also information on the PhD scholarships available for future research students.

Our research students can take advantage of our researcher development programme to help them during their studies whilst in addition finding further support through the Postgraduate Research Students Association .

The Graduate School Office is also on hand to support both research students and staff in ensuring that students can achieve their potential whilst studying at DMU.
