Knowledge transfer is the process by which university expertise is shared with industry to encourage innovation and progress. Its overall aim is to identify methods to drive your industry forward. Creative industries fundingKnowledge Catalyst is a new scheme for SMEs which uses research in arts and humanities. Projects last for three to 15 months and funding contributes up to 60 per cent of costs. Technology ProgrammeThe Technology Programme provides funding for commercial projects in the areas of science, engineering and technology. SMEs can receive funding to cover up to 60 per cent of the project costs and larger partners can receive up to 50 per cent of costs. Research and DevelopmentGrants for research and Development are for individuals and SMEs to develop new products and processes. There are several grants on offer targeting different projects, with grants of up to £500,000 available. Graduate InternshipsThe Graduate internship programme places a skilled recent graduate within your company for a three to six month placement.
