Sharing knowledge to fill your company's expertise gap

Universities are all about creating, advancing, applying and sharing knowledge, through research and development, education and skills via teaching and learning. At DMU, we collaborate with businesses, community partners, third sector organisations, Government and learners to share our knowledge, expertise, skills, technologies and facilities to make a positive difference.

It’s a fundamental part of who we are as a civic university, with our roots firmly embedded in the city of Leicester and the region.

Innovation funding through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP)

The KTP programme part-funds collaborations between a growth-oriented UK business and university; employing a recent graduate to work on an innovative R&D project to transfer and embed university expertise to deliver commercial business impact. These dynamic R&D partnerships are funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) via Innovate UK.

Is a KTP suitable for my business?

If your business is looking to grow and gain competitive advantage by differentiating its offer (enhancing, designing and launching new products and services), streamlining its processes and introducing new capabilities and IP (Intellectual Property) then a KTP is suitable for your business.
