Entry requirements

Entry requirements for Russian students
Study level Academic requirementsEnglish language requirements 
Undergraduate

A-levels, International Baccalaureate, or a foundation course

 

Advanced entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus and a grading guide.

 

 

If you are unable to enter an undergraduate course directly, you may wish to study an International Incorporate Bachelor's Degree or the International First Year which is offered at Leicester International Pathway College, located on the DMU campus.

 

 

If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide an IELTS certificate, or equivalent. Our undergraduate IELTS requirements are:

 

IELTS 6.0 for Art and Design, Business, Computing and Engineering courses

 

IELTS 6.5 for Law courses

 

IELTS 6.0-6.5 for Humanities and Media courses

 

IELTS 6.5-7.5 for Science courses

 

Postgraduate  

A Bachelor's degree with GPA 4, or a Specialist Diploma with GPA 3.75 for courses requiring a 2:1 classification.

 

A Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.5, or a Specialist Diploma with GPA 3.25 for courses requiring a 2:2 classification.

 

Some courses have additional entry criteria such as a portfolio, work experience or require you to have a degree in a related field.

IELTS 6.0 for Business and Computing courses

 

IELTS 6.0-6.5 for Art, Design and Engineering courses

 

IELTS 6.5 for Humanities, Media, Law and Science courses
