Entry criteria for Ghana

Foundation / International Year Zero

WASSCE / WAEC in 5 subjects with C6 or above

 

International Year Zero:

WAEC with average grade 1 - 6 (A - C) in 4 or more subjects

International Year Zero: Minimum IELTS 4.5 with pre-sessional English

 

DMU foundation courses: IELTS 6.0

 

WASSCE / WAEC C6 or above

Undergraduate / Bachelor's 

 

If you have studied SSEC/WAEC and achieved C6 or above, plus International Baccalaureate, A-levels, foundation or a national diploma, we will consider you for entry onto an undergraduate degree.

 

Some courses have additional entry criteria such as a portfolio, an audition, or require a student to have a particular qualification.

 

Advanced entry to year 2 or 3 is possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus and a grading guide. Our course leaders look for close matches but will try and be flexible where possible.

IELTS 6.5 for Pharmacy, Business, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences and Humanities subjects

 

IELTS 7.5 for Speech and Language Therapy

Postgraduate / 

Master's

 

A good first degree from a recognised Ghanaian university. If you wish to study one of our business master’s courses and you have a Third Class degree or are an HND graduate, our Business International Incorporated Master's is the ideal course to bridge the gap.

 

PhD applicants should have a postgraduate degree (normally awarded in the last five years) in a subject area closely related to the proposed research topic.

 

An equivalent academic or professional qualification may be acceptable.

 

Some courses have additional entry criteria such as a portfolio or work experience, may require you to have a degree in a related field, or may ask for a higher score in your degree
