We are forging links across the world, developing international partnerships and working with international experts and institutions to enrich life and study at De Montfort University.
We have built-up a strong bond of mutual partnership with universities and institutions across the globe, including Nanjing University (ranked 120th in the World by the Times Higher) and Liaoning University (one of the China Project 211 universities) in China, Chaoyang University in Taiwan and Daly College in India.
Every year, we welcome new students from 127 different countries and our international partnerships have enabled such students to experience a wider world outside of their home country. Such partnerships enable students to complete some study in their home country and then join De Montfort University to finalise their degree award.
Our global partnerships mean that we are a truly international university building influential relationships across the world. We always welcome discussions with potential new partners.
Here at De Montfort University we understand that partnerships is a very important in the development of student experiences when studying in the UK.
Our mission is to widen participation in Higher Education: to support students to prepare for and make a smooth transition into Higher Education.
We work in partnership with students, parents, teachers, schools, colleges, voluntary and community organisations and local authorities from all over the world.
We offer a range of activities that advise, motivate, and develop skills and confidence which enable learners of all ages to find out more about studying in Higher Education.
We are always happy to work with partners to develop bespoke activities. International.ac.uk produced an interesting article that serves as a starting point for overseas institutions interested in establishing collaborations with UK higher education institutions.
