Pharmacy Experience Day
Tuesday 16 January 2018
09:30am - 3:00pm
Discover more about the role of a Pharmacist on our interactive experience day!
A fantastic opportunity has arisen in conjunction with the Leicester School of Pharmacy, for interested students to take part in a practical based masterclass that will help inspire and inform learners about studying on a Pharmacy or associated science degree. This is an ideal opportunity for students who are currently applying for 2018 entry or those considering applying in 2019 to gather first-hand experience of studying and learning in a university laboratory.
Students will work alongside our School of Pharmacy academics and technicians who will lead students through a variety of different workshops that include practical demonstrations, hands-on experiments and a focus on developing clinical skills such as the importance of face to face interactions with patients and carrying out diagnostic testing.
This experience day is ideally suited to students studying on A2 Chemistry or an equivalent accepted BTEC or Access programme. Students in the first or second year of study are welcome to attend and find out more about how to apply through UCAS including advice and support with personal statement writing and preparing for interviews. Alongside this, current Pharmacy undergraduates will share their experiences of student life and be able to offer advice on student finance, accommodation and the realities of academic learning.
There are no costs involved in attending the experience day and booking a place couldn't be easier. Simply click on the link below and complete your details and a member of the team will be in touch to confirm your place. Places are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
