Assisted LivingDrivers, Markets and Strategies![]() ![]() In association with Digital Communication KTN It is estimated between 2020 and 2030 the over 60s population in the UK will exceed 20 million. Currently there are already more people over the age of 60, than there are less than 18. However the need for lifestyle and healthcare support applies across all age groups. In March we held an Assisted Living networking day that illustrated the telecare and telehealth solutions that are already available to support older and vulnerable people to live an independent lifestyle, and how these solutions have helped to reduce the demands on social and healthcare resources. DMU partnered with the Digital Communication KTN to organise a seminar to address the key issues of telecare and telehealth – or assistive living, including:
The seminar presented how an integrated approach to these technologies and houses of the future, ‘Smart Homes’, support assisted living, energy management and other modern digital services delivered into the home.
