The exhibition is open from 10.00am to 15.00pm (registration opens at 09.30) and is located in the Campus Centre on the ground floor. Details of presentations, tours and workshops can be downloaded here  ; keynote talks will take place on the second floor in the Campus Centre.

New for 2011, The Interactive Technology Zone  :

  • iCheev® is designed for individuals seeking help with their thinking and ongoing support in achieving their business and personal goals.  iCheev® was developed as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project between GoMad Thinking and De Montfort University.
  • Laptop Demonstration of VenueSim: model customer behaviour using Artificial Intelligence in venues such as shopping centres, transport termini and event arenas for forecasting.
  • Eye Gaze - permits hands-free operation of mobile devices. It enables people with physical disabilities to control games and other applications in a way that is much faster than other types of assistive devices controlled, say, by switches. The demonstration will give you a chance to try controlling an immersive game (World Of Warcraft) by eye gaze, and to gauge the increased sense of immersion that eye control provides. The demonstration will include the new low cost eye tracking system currently under development at DMU.
  • Centre for Computational Intelligence (CCI) will demonstrate a Robot with Puck
  • Centre for Secure Computing (CSC) will provide a Cyber Security Demonstration
  • Demonstration of O-BOW : The O-Bow is a bow controller consisting of an optical movement sensor mounted to measure the bow speed and horizontal angle with high resolution.
  • Energy and Sustainable Development - demonstrating the "Wattbox” intelligent home heating control system.
  • Experience Virtual Lean Engineering from the Lean Engineering Research Group.
  • ProspectIP®is an intellectual property (IP) management company delivering professional IP services to help research-based and innovative organisations to overcome the challenges they face in developing and profiting from their intellectual assets.
  • The Institute of Creative Technology and New Product Design will be demonstrating a piece of technology called the Quividi system.  Quividi is a ‘glance analysis system’ which is linked to a point-of-sale demonstration relating to our RetailLab.
