The Faculty of Technology is a major centre of advanced technology with over 300 staff, 2500 students and many business partners.

We have many groups working at the highest level in their respective fields across a broad spectrum of technologies. Our dynamic approach to research and business has resulted in increasing sponsorship from the government and European funding bodies and work funded directly by commercial and public sector organisations.

There is a range of public funding for research, technology transfer and continuing professional development that can be accessed through partnerships between businesses and De Montfort University

Our relationships with companies and public sector sponsors are vital for both applied research and vocational education and training. Our expertise includes: computing, mathematical sciences, electronics, mechanical engineering, product design and development, ICT, manufacturing and media technology. We are ideally positioned to adopt a multi-disciplinary approach utilising the complementary expertise available within the University to address real-world problems.
